Restaurang CG in Luleå opened its doors for the first time in October 2012. Here you will find a mix between the classic steak house, local ingredients and Italian finesse. Since the first guest was welcomed, the restaurant has become a popular star on Luleå’s restaurant skyline. It did not take long before the orange CG stamp turned up in the White Guide, the designation awarded to Sweden’s best restaurants.

But CG is just one of many restaurants in Luleå offering an exciting dining experience. Visiting Simon Laiti and Hemmagastronomi is a must for the genuine gourmand, and we can’t forget Cook’s on Storgatan, or Bistro Norrland in Norra hamn. From sushi and Chinese food to burgers and gourmet. Luleå has something for everyone.

Clarion Hotel Sense, along with the restaurant Kitchen & Table, are relatively new additions to Luleå’s restaurant scene. The restaurant is a concept created by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, who has had the honor of cooking for United States President Barack Obama. Hotell Savoy, with its jazz dining room, offers food and music in beautiful harmony. And even more exciting new restaurants are now opening in Luleå.

In Luleå, we have many cozy cafés offering everything from Swedish chocolate cake to French macaroons. Swedes are known for their love of “fika” – the cultural concept of sitting down together and having coffee with pastries or sandwiches – and Luleå residents are no exception. During the summer you can enjoy the sun at one of Luleå’s outdoor cafés, and during the winter, you can order a delicious and warming cup of hot cocoa while the snow falls outside the window.
